I was referred by a friend who insisted that Berta Britton could save us money. I do not like change, and we had used the same insurance agent for some time. But I am not opposed to saving money, so my husband and I went to Berta and got a quote. We were delighted to find that Berta could give us more insurance for much less money each year. We now have our cars, motor home, house, and boat insured through Marshall Insurance Agency. Tracy Matthews has been our insurance agent for the past few years and she has always gone above and beyond for us at both CarpetCare and Surface Care. For the last 15 and 10 years respectively John Caffrey and Southern States Insurance have provided insurance and related follow up services for our 53 buildings at Governor’s Ridge and Powers Ridge Office Park. Before each annual renewal date John does his homework by providing an array of options for us to pick from. Despite many periods in which rates have skyrocketed John has consistently provided us with minimal increases (and many times premium reductions) while still covering all the areas we have requested be included in the policy. When claims are made, John is always there to see that the process is quick and smooth. On the rare occasion the insurance carrier balks, John is right there with us to see that the claim is paid by having the knowledge and facts at hand to convince them otherwise. Of the many insurance professionals I have worked with in over 4 decades, John is the most professional, efficient, knowledgeable and by far the most exceptional. We are fortunate to have him. Dan Merkel & Shirley Hutchings of Southern States Insurance are very amazing people! Dan is very knowledgeable on policies and rates, really on all aspects of our business. There are few people in the service business that I have interacted with that have seemed to really care about the outcome of a client's problem.
